Health and care organisations across B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) are working together to drive up the quality of services across our combined area, improve health outcomes and ensure our services are cost- effective and sustainable. Earlier this year Healthwatch in B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire undertook engagement activity, which will help to inform our local plan. Our Health, Our Future builds on this piece of workm, with a specific focus on engaging younger people and seldom-heard groups. The results from Healthwatch’s #WhatWouldYouDo campaign will be shared here towards the end of the summer, along with information on how we will use this feedback to inform our plans.
NHS Long Term Plan
In January 2019 the NHS published the new Long Term Plan. It’s been drawn up by those who know the NHS best – from our staff who work on the frontline, to patients and their families. The plan highlights our ambition to make sure everyone has the best start in life, to deliver world-class care for major health problems, and to help people to live well in the future.

Draft Integrated Health and Care Strategy – for health and care professionals
Health and care leaders across B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire have jointly developed a local draft strategy. This document describes the collective vision for how high quality care and treatment will be jointly provided across B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire and to help guide health and care professionals as the health and care system undergoes a programme of transformation.
The draft Integrated Health and Care Strategy will be developed after feedback, engagement and discussion with our clinical colleagues, so please share your views by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
